Architectural Control Committee (ACC)

Purpose:  The ACC has jurisdiction over any permanent or temporary improvements that affect the exterior visual quality and architectural character of The Fairways.  It recommends guidelines for Fairways homeowners to ensure that architectural standards comply with the Covenants of The Fairways at Savannah Quarters and the Westbrook Architectural Review Committee (ARC) Guidelines.  

Committee responsibilities include:

• Reviewing all homeowner applications to ensure compliance with The Fairways Covenants

• Recommending guidelines to the HOA Board for approval of any changes to a homeowner’s property.

Identifying and enforcing any change or alteration made to a homeowner’s property not in compliance with the Covenants and/or ACC Guidelines is the responsibility of Westbrook ARC.

 

Clubhouse Reservation Committee

Purpose:  To facilitate the use by homeowners of The Frank Curran Community Center by sharing protocols for its use, tracking reservations, and providing rules and setting expectations for those reserving the clubhouse for personal functions. 

NOTE:  See The Fairways community website https://thefairways.wixsite.com/savannah-quarters for current reservation forms and clubhouse and Pool/Gazebo rules of use.

Committee responsibilities include:

• Serve as contact for homeowners wishing to reserve the clubhouse exclusively for personal functions and track reservation requests via a clubhouse Google calendar.

• Ensure that the rules for clubhouse use are reviewed by the reserving homeowner and that refundable deposit checks (and any applicable fees) are submitted with the reservation form.

• Review post-event cleaning instructions with the homeowner and inspect clubhouse after each use.

Purpose:  To build a Fairways brand that is defined by resident generosity, compassion and support for those with temporary or permanent needs.

We will accomplish this goal -- both internally within The Fairways itself, and externally, within the larger Pooler and Savannah communities -- through philanthropic, volunteer, and social responsibility activities focused on education, children, and hunger within the Savannah community.

​Purpose:  To demonstrate the strong culture of community at The Fairways by providing welcoming visits and relevant information to introduce our community to new homeowners. The Hospitality Committee will also keep and track directory information about each homeowner and update those lists periodically before sharing with homeowners.

Another outreach effort this committee performs is aiding neighbors during illness or family crises through organizing food donations from multiple neighbors who offer to help, or by offering other assistance to neighbors during stressful times.

Purpose:  To create a sense of community and to build connections among homeowners by providing opportunities for social interaction through events, celebrations and activities that are inclusive of all homeowners.  

Although the Social Committee is sanctioned by the HOA Board, it is financially independent of the HOA, operating with a team of volunteers who plan and execute events with funds collected at monthly social hours and managed by the committee’s Treasurer and President.
